BGM PRO CDI for IDM retrofit ignitions

-Original optics in connection with an optimized ignition curve for touring engines-

THE PROBLEM OF ORIGINAL IDM CDI ON TOUR ENGINES
All IDM based ignitions (Vespatronic, Malossi VesPower, Polini IDM, Varitronic, Pinasco Flytech, Parmakit etc.) use the same CDI. Their ignition curve is designed for high performance engines with a late power input and high rpm.
On touring engines, with an early and high torque, this ignition curve is rather counterproductive. It often leads to engine judder in partial load operation due to an early ignition timing which is too early for the low speed. Due to the large adjustment range (8°) of the original CDI, however, the ignition timing must be selected early. Otherwise the performance in the upper rpm range suffers, because the CDI already reduces the ignition timing strongly again here.

BENEFITS OF THE BGM PRO CDI ON TOUR ENGINES
The BGM PRO CDI has a modified, optimized ignition curve. It offers engines with a similar power/torque curve as an original engine, ideal working conditions. The adjustment of the ignition timing is significantly less, the engine runs smoother and more smoothly and also develops more power, especially in the range above the peak power (overrev). The result is an engine that is much more touring friendly and is usually even a little faster.

    further advantages of the BGM PRO CDI
    The technology of the BGM PRO CDI is housed in the vehicle-specific ignition coil housings of the time of construction. Thus the beautiful old optics is retained despite modern technology.
    Compared to an original IDM CDI is also the ignition cable screwable. Ideal if the CDI is to be positioned differently or simply the ignition cable is to be replaced.

    FAZIT: Nice addition for converted engines which are to become even better.
