Piston shim

Your con-rod needs to be shimmed to keep
it running in line. This is done with shims at the small end (inside
the piston) or at the big end (inside the crankshaft webs). It needs to
be done at the small end or the big end, not both, not neither.
Generally
you need piston shims if you are using a genuine Lambretta crank. Most
modern Lambretta cranks are shimmed at the big end now.
You need two shims per piston.
